Hi!
As promised, I am back today with the Happy Married Life chipboard title that inspired my last layout, Shovel it, and this layout.
This was the exact photo I thought of when I saw this new title piece in the store.
You have to love it when layouts come together like this!
I did a bit of background ink spray splattering and got to work layering papers and embellishments on this layout using a sketch by Kat Benjamin.
For my title piece I used a new chalk marker I picked up. I really loved the look of the chalk marker on the chipboard, so when I saw some in multiple colors, well had to have, right?
So for this piece I used a pink metallic chalk marker and then hand drew the dashes with black ink. Creating the layered heart background gave my title a bit more pop and tied into the layout by adding the dashes to the hearts as well.
Here I added the flair button from the Hot Love Set and a small red heart acrylic.
At the bottom of my page I added two words from the Valentine’s Hashtag set. I used a red marker to draw the dashes around each letter to go with the title and help them pop a bit more.
I also used a heart cluster from the Heart Frame set in the corner of my photo. I used the grey metallic chalk marker on it and pink marker to draw dashes around each heart.
My finishing touches are the wood veneer hearts from the Heart Clusters set. These are fantastic! Thick and fun, you can decorate them or do as I did here and leave them naked. Perfect touch for my layout.
Thanks so much for coming by today!
