Hello there my fellow CE fan! Welcome back to the blog today and thank you for your time. As you can see, I decided to stick with the inspiration theme. This time I altered my journal cover using the same products as I did for the journal pages, plus some. I was just so inspired by those journal pages, I couldn’t stop! This is my first journal. I’ve never really journaled much. So many people talk about how creatively freeing it is to make pages. I’m not much of a stamper. Flat images and fussy cutting are not at the top of my list of things I enjoy. Mixed media is my baby and so is masculine grunge. I stuck true to all of these things, what do you think?
**It’s journal cover altering time! Let’s do this!**
I decided to stay with the theme this month
1. Begin by decided your paper collection
Hint: I went with a writing theme because I thought it fit the challenge perfectly
2. Matte your papers on some heavy cardstock
3. Distress your paper edges using scissors and black ink
4. Add your background texture using your Typewriter Keys Stencil
5. Alter your Ink and Quill,Wood Veneer Feathers,Feathers chipboard pieces using acrylic paints
6. Assembly time! Begin by putting down the bottom layers of paper
7. Adhere your clear acetate pieces next
8. Then add your wood veneer and chipboard feathers
9. Put on the final layer of paper and chipboard pieces
10. Finally, add your paper embellishments, metal pieces, and sticker quotes
**Here are some close-ups for you to enjoy!**
**I had such a great time creating this journal cover with you today! Stay safe and creative.**
