Happy Thanksgiving to all my USA friends out there!!!  The big day is almost here, are you ready????  I have a 23 lb turkey to cook for 3 this year.  I know crazy right.  Well, last minute change of plans and the little ones are staying home this year, so the hubby, son and I will be eating lots of Turkey on our own.  My daughter and her family live in the valley about an hour from Anchorage in Wasilla, so they are having their own dinner.  Today I am sharing a very special layout with my Hubby and I taken in 1985 in Tacoma, Washington.  Boy was I skinny and isn’t he handsome.  We just got back from Hawaii which explains that gorgeous tan he has.  I always burn, so I stay out of it.  This year we are married 48 years, we had been married 13 years when this photo was taken.

This will be a short posting as I am sure that everyone is anxious to get to making those pies and stuffing those turkeys!!!  I used the Mintay’s “Fall Festival” paper collection for this layout.  It is drop dead gorgeous.  Love the burgundy, pink and brown coloration for Fall.  I also used the Prima “Dulcinea” paper collection which is the lovely navy blue and pink which blended perfectly.  The chipboard I started with are the Large Oval Flourish Frame Set I used the medium size one.  I painted it a medium blue acrylic paint and then hand rubbed it with a brass wax to match the foil that is in the Dulcinea paper.  Turned out pretty cool.

And the last photo:

I hope you enjoyed your visit today and will stop back again real soon.  May God bless you and your family this Thanksgiving and here’s a Big Alaska Bear Hug!!!
