Hello CE Friends! Nicolle here sharing a fun steampunk pumpkin.
I started with 3 oval birch wood pieces. I gorilla wood glued them together to form a pumpkin shape.
I then added a bunch of our different sized gears, clocks and chains .
I then simply sprayed the whole piece with black spray paint.
I then applied a copper wax throughout the piece for a metallic look.
I wanted a rusty look to the piece so I then went over with it with a variety of rust pastes by finnabair and finished with dry brushing with white acrylic paint.
I used a different color rust paste for the leaf.
I twisted some copper wire to create tendrils.
I took and old pool pvc pipe and added a stem. I spray painted that black and added copper paste.
This project was a bit time consuming but fun. Thanks for stopping by.
