I’m back dear friends with a gorgeous photo of my beautiful niece Dani and her hubby, Michael.  This is just before Dani had her sweet baby boy.  The picture is taken along the gorgeous Oregon coastline.

I fell in love with Ciao Bella’s “Le Repubbliche Marinare” paper collection.  It is filled with clipperships and gorgeous rusts and deep ocean teal blues and greens.  Yummy, old, wonderful palette to work with and perfect for the photo.  I fussy cut a half compass from one of the paper pieces and used one of the tags which I cut in half to use in 2 different places on the layout.  It was really a long tag.

The chipboard pieces I used came together in one set which is call the Nautical 6 piece Set  Talk about an economical set.  I’ll show you below what comes in this set or you can click on the name and it will take you to the store.  The first piece I altered was the lighthouse, which I painted with a silver acrylic paint and then rubbed with a copper wax.

The next chipboard piece I used from the set was the anchor, which I altered with the rust paste.  I applied all 3 layers to get the final rusty look.

Next I painted the life preserver that is tucked halfway under the photo at the bottom.  I inserted a piece of string to look like rope.  On the right side is another piece which is the star which I also painted another rust color.

On the right side of the photo is the steering wheel which I painted and then applied some fun rhinestones to match the center of some of the flowers.  A little bling never hurt anyone!!

And here’s another one…

Here’s a peek of the right corner flower cluster.

And, finally the compass.  I absolutely love the color that I painted this compass which matches the colors in the paper.  It’s so rich and creamy.

and with the rest of the layout!

That’s it for me today!!!  Hope you enjoyed your visit and will stop back.  Don’t forget the Monthly Challenge!!!  $50 Voucher is a LOT of chipboard.  Till next time, stay safe, stay healthy and here’s a Big Alaska Bear Hug!!
