Hello! I just can’t believe it’s February already! I was inspired by the love theme and decided to do a layout about my hubby and I. I used the Feeling the Love Frame and the quote Together We Have It All as my main focus to draw your eye to the photos. I added flowers and then added in bits of the Flourish Set 10 and a few  Wood Veneer Hearts. I colored all of these with Nuvo Glitter Markers. Hope I have inspired you to play along with this fun moodboard!

Shabby Tag .jpg      Shabby Tag 4

A new month and another new challenge. I have made a fun variation of a tag. I have a co-worker that is getting married and the month of February is always the month of Love. The twist is to add flowers this month, now I can do that.

I did start with the tag with some background stamping and texture, and I wanted it to be bold, So I used black modeling paste with the distress patterns stencil. Using various chipboards, I added layers with in the papers and chipboard. I used sprays and added some colour to the Hearts Panel. And Hearts just got a thick coat of just black spray. The fun thing about this tag is I actually have a gift card on the back of it for the bride and groom. So with the remainder of the chipboard along with some Fern Foliage filled in the back flower cluster. I added the With Love Title.

Here is a short video of the creative process.

Welcome to February, everyone! And to the new Challenge image which I created with the idea of romance, commitment and travel. So for my project, I went with a couple of Valentine cards. These were created from some Graphic 45 scraps that I had laying around … proof that cards are a perfect way to use those scraps if you want. The Valentine on the left (peach)  uses chipboard from the Valentine Word SetValentine Word Hearts and a piece from the Filigree Corner Set 2. The Valentine on the right (teal) uses one of the Flourish Heart Frame 1 set and the XOXO are from the Valentines Sentiment Set.  All of these pieces were altered with walnut stain. For more details, please visit my Blog. I am excited to see YOUR take on the February Challenge!

Hey Everyone! Our February challenge is so beautiful! This month, I am inspired by the lovely flowers and thoughts of love. I had so much fun created this and we all look forward to hearing from you all. For my project this month, I made a mixed media canvas with a twist in adding flowers. To create this canvas, I used the Falling Heart Stencil with some texture paste to provide a textured background. I altered the Heart Flourish Corner Set, and the word “Art” from the Inspire Word Set using some embossing powder. We look forward to seeing your creations from this beautiful mood board created by our fellow DT member Sandi.

Hello everyone and welcome to our February Challenge!  I LOVE February and Valentines Day!  I create so many projects and decorate my house for Valentines Day!  I created a layout for this challenge featuring several pieces of chipboard from Creative Embellishments.  The twist on this challenge was to add flowers.  I hand made all the flowers from a Peony Die and then colored them with coordinating ink.

I used Dream a Little, Butterfly Set, Rose Flourishes and Arrow Frame with Hearts.

To alter my chipboard pieces I embossed them with Pink embossing powder. After heating the embossing powder  I rubbed them with a wax.  I  sprayed them with glimmer mist and them reheated them so the glimmer mist embedded into the embossing powder.

To see the rest of the details for this layout please stop by my blog and check it out.

Debbie Burns

Hi everyone and welcome to our February challenge.  Debbie Burns here with my take on the fabulous mood board challenge.  I was inspired by the windows, shutters and colors.  The twist, add flowers!

I used several pieces of Creative Embellishments Chipboard:  Vintage Flourish 2,  Flourish Fireplace Screen,  Window Set 4,  Flourish Ornaments,  Keys and Distressed Script Stamp.  All chipboard pieces were treated with Prima Art Alchemy Wax in either Vintage Gold or Royal Robes.  I created texture on the canvas by using a Prima stencil, modeling paste, various paints, mists Art Quest Prills and microbeads.   I randomly stamped with the Distressed Script Stamp.  You can stop by my blog for more details.   I can’t wait to see what you create this month!

Already a month has passed in 2020.  Yikes!  It’s time for romance, hearts, flowers and chocolate!  I made two tags with flowers (the twist) for the challenge that will be used to gussy up some Valentine gifts.  On the left, I made a shaker using the Love Shaker Set.  On the right is a simpler romance tag made using a piece from the Love Artist Trading Coins set.  I’m already for Valentine’s now, are you?  Join in our challenge and show us your romantic side!  Maggi xxooxo

February is HERE! I’m excited for another fabulous challenge from Creative Embellishments. Here is the layout that I created based on the February Mood Board.

Creative Embellishments Chipboard I used:
Greek Frame 2        Small Moments Border Words        Door Knobs

I first covered the Greek Frame and the Door Knob with ivory paint, then using a dark brown metallic paint I dusted the edges of each. I added ivory paint to the ends of the border word and then added dark brown metallic paint to the middle.
