Hi fellow scrappers… It’s Nanné here sharing a winter themed baby layout with you all.. I love looking at old photos on my daughters facebook feed and seeing how our grand daughter has grown and developed the last two years.  I decided I wanted to grab a few photos from her feed and create a winter themed layout using some of the snow flake chippies from the Creative Embellishments shop..

Here is what I created:

I want to apologize for the quality of the photo but living in Finland during this time of year, well its gloomy.. We only have about 6 hrs of daylight and even then, you can’t really call it day light..LOL

I used some of my favorite papers by Simple Stories and added my chipboard elements to match the color scheme.. I used Distress Oxides again to color my chipboard, which I think is such an easy way to add color to them, plus I used the same oxides to create my background with, so another great way to get your colors to match..

I absolutely love these hanging snowflakes.. they are the sweetest element to add to any layout .. I wanted to stay within my color scheme so colored most of them light blue and then the one orangy brown to match my papers.. which is kind of hard to see the true colors in my photos..

I wanted to create some clusters of elements around my photos, so I used two of the harlequin chipboard elements, painting them to match and adding a few snow flakes here and there..  I also kept with the harlequin shapes, by using the distressed shapes stencils and some white paint around the edge of my layout.   For that final little touch of detail, I used the distressed script stamp and some blue Archival ink to stamp some text all over my layout..

and there you have my winter themed layout for todays Design Team reveal..  I want to thank you for stopping by and I hope I inspired you to get your snow flakes out and get crafting..  Till next time

P.S  Here are the items I used to create my layout:

Falling snow set

large snowflake set

Distressed harlequin pieces

Distressed patterns stencil

Distressed text stamp
