Hello dear CE Fans!!! I’m back today with a fun layout featuring my baby brother, the youngest of the six of us kids, Christopher, his lovely wife Alyssa and their 3 adorable children. They are spending their day at the pumpkin patch in the Pacific Northwest after a major rain storm so the rows between the corn are filled with rain and lots of puddles to jump in. These kids are so much fun.
I used the Simple Stories “Autumn Splendor” paper collection for the background paper with that stunning wreath image. I applied some burlap fabric down the right side and added a bright orange plaid from Carta Bella’s “Fall Break” paper collection. Well, you can’t be in a corn field without having some corn stalks around you. And, Creative Embellishments does not disappoint. There are 2 different styles of chipboard, a shorter one Corn Stalks Set of 3 and taller one Corn Stalks Style 2 . I used both on my layout and used embossing powder in two different colors of green.
Now you can’t have a pumpkin patch layout without pumpkins right? We love pumpkins at CE!!! Once again I used 2 different chipboards styles. One of them called Pumpkins in the shop comes with vines and leaves attached, very cute in a set of 3 different sizes. The other one is called Pumpkin Set and is a set of 6 different chipboard pumpkins, a REAL value. Now I have a tendency to search high and low for just the right shade of orange for the….pumpkin. Oranges are tricky like all color, but for some reason my sense of orange has alluded me. I think I found a good color this year, it’s a new metallic paint from Art Alchemy call “Phoenix Feather”.
Here’s a fun cluster of flowers and pumpkins and die-cuts from the kit I was using from Carta Bella.
In the middle bottom of the page with the pumpkin vignette is the cutest “item of the year” the pick-up truck!!! I was not thinking very far enough ahead or I would have ordered Nicolle’s Classic Pick Up Truck It is so darn cute and would be perfect for this layout, except it would be a little big.
However I used the one that came with the kit which is this one….
You will be seeing the CE one on a layout next month!!!!! Check out the cluster pumpkins, I love them!!! And just under the photo of my brother and his wife is the title of the Layout “Blessed” which I know is exactly how these 2 wonderful kids feel. All 3 of their beautiful children are adopted, and I know that they would have many more if they could.
To my USA friends and family here’s wishing you a very blessed and Happy Thanksgiving. May the Lord bestow upon you all the feelings of the blessings of the season. Happy Turkey Day!!!!
