October is one of my favorite months of the year, Halloween, Fall, leaves turning, bright colors, apple picking, harvest, all the wonderful smells, and visions of Autumn.  I LOVE IT ALL!!!  My first layout for the month features one of my favorite photos.  Everyone has gotten to scrap it but me, so I figured it was my turn!!!.  I adore this mystery lady and her dress is to die for.  To me she is either leaving those red roses on someone’s grave or picking the flowers in the cemetery’s rose garden.  I chose to depict the latter in my layout.  She left only one lone rose in the garden of the graveyard.

I used paper from the Anna Griffin Halloween Paper Collections and applied some cotton lace on the seams to add some dimension.  I tucked in lots of ephemera cards from Anna’s collections and used a doily die cut from Cheery Lynne.  The doilies really look like spider webs.  I added lots of yummy flowers from Prima and 49 and Market and then proceeded to the left side of the page which is suppose to depict the entrance to the cemetery.

I started by used the Flourish Set 26 which I painted black with acrylic paint.  I added the single rose at the top to be the last rose left in the graveyard rose garden.

The next and last chipboard piece I used is the Spider Web Flourish Border which comes in a set of 2 (1 smaller than the other).  This is such a cool piece and one of my faves for Halloween.  There are so many intricate details in this chipboard, it’s really BOO-ti-ful.  I used acrylic paint on it and then black Stickles in the center to cover the spider so that you could see him.  BAWAHAHAHA!!!!!

Did I mention how much I love Fall and Autumn and Halloween, and Spooky, and Ghosts, and, well, everything Autumn.  I love Pumpkin Pie, the Pumpkin Patch, yep, bring it on!!!  Problem is up here in Alaska our Fall does not last long.  The Termination Dust (snow) is moving down the mountains fast so we may have snow by the end of next week.  I sincerely hope you get to enjoy some Apple Cider and some crisp Fall air.  Till next time this is Kathy Mosher sending you a Big Alaska Bear Hug!!!
