Onto our amazing Dt reveal!

Hi everyone! I was inspired by the flowers and the ivy in the larger photo. I used the Iron Fence Set, 2 pieces of the Delicate Ivy, a Bird Bath, Iris and Flourish 31. Besides the chipboard flowers, I added some paper ones from my stash. I colored the chipboard pieces with mists. I am looking forward to your take on the mood board!

Welcome to August, oh where has the summer gone, I can’t believe that school starts back up in a month, I am not ready for that! This months challenge is so vintage, the mood board is great, I decided to go easy and a bit shabby. I made a dress form out of tulle and just added a scenic garden background on a large tag. Adding a brick texture with the crackled brick stencil and texture paste. Also using the Mini Leaves Set 2 and trellis and rose leaves, ¬†I used Liquid Pearls to add the texture. Simple and clean, a fun shabby tag. I hope it inspires you!

I made a quick video of the process.

Good morning!  This months challenge will really inspire you!

I was inspired by the colors of the images and of course the super sweet puppies, so I used a photo of our furbaby Axle and lots of green and purple!

I used the square stamp frame, the title piece, and the paw prints chipboard.

Sandi Clarkson

Happy August, everyone! I had the privilege of designing this month’s mood board/inspiration photo and just knew that I would opt for purple! Haha! Instead, I was inspired by the archways as well as the well-styled braid in one of the photos. One of my daughters is a hairdresser and recently shared some up-do photos that I wanted to use. I’ve created on a large tag and played with my 13 Arts Rust effects on the arched doors and generally ad a little fun. The Creative Embellishments products used were:¬†Large Tags,¬†Lace Border 3,¬†Arched Doors, Set 2,¬†Archway, style 1¬†and¬†Keys, set of 10. The twist is to add flowers but I only added a few since I had a plethora of butterflies. Can’t wait to see your take on the Challenge!

Nadine Carlier

Hello, Nadine here! I hope everyone is loving the August challenge as much as I am. The deep purples and the vines from the mood board are what inspired me for my layout. I used the Circle Vine Frame and the Smile title from the Happy Word Set and embossed them both with embossing powder.  On the background, I used the Distressed Brick Stamp and randomly stamped with VersaMark and then used white embossing powder and heat set it.

Debbie Burns

Hi everyone, Debbie Burns here sharing my canvas for the August Challenge. ¬†Love the mood board this month. ¬†I was inspired by the colors, stone front building, flowers and arches. ¬†I started off by applying some modeling past through a stone stencil to the cnavas background. ¬† I added various shades of purples to the background along with some yellow. ¬†Lots of Creative Embellishments chipboard. ¬†Flourish 26¬†and¬†Flourish 31¬†were embossed with a mixture of white, lilac and iris embossing powders. ¬†The Open Arched Windows¬†embossed white and the¬†Leaves Set 1¬†embossed with an avocado powder and dabbed with some white gold wax. ¬†Lots of paper layering along with lace, flowers and purple prills. ¬†I hope you’ll join us this month.

Hello – Jennifer Snyder sharing my shaker cards for the August challenge.¬† These cards are blooming with the colors of a beautiful garden in August.¬†Creative Embellishments makes shaker card creation super easy.¬† Hop to my blog and I’ll show you how.
The chipboard pieces I chose to use are listed below and were all painted with acrylics:
Hello chipboard lovers! Tracy here sharing the layout I created based on the August Challenge. I took inspiration from not just the gorgeous colours, but that decorative door and all of the lush flowers.
Creative Embellishments Chipboard Used:
Window Shutters¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬†Filigree Corner Set 1 ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬†¬†Baby’s Breath
I started by painting ALL of my chipboard pieces using DecoArt White Acrylic Paint using a foam stencil brush. I then took DecoArt Purple Acrylic Paint and blended the colour from the edge into the middle of the decorative shutters, and fancy things. Once dry I dusted the edges of everything with a warm brown ink and a sponge. Using a liquid adhesive I added lilac Prills to the tips of the branch.
