Hello CE Friends!! It’s that time again!!! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer or winter depending on what part of the world you’re on.

This month it is a color challenge with a Twist to use clouds or waves on your project. The use of black and white is permitted. You will notice in the picture below that the blue colors are similar but they all have different color number codes. Please just do the best you can. I want this to be fun. It’s basically just light and slightly darker shades of blue. 🙂

Create a NEW project layout, mini album, tag, card, canvas, etc….as of July 1st, 2019.
*It is required that you mention in your blog post that you are playing along at Creative Embellishments together with a link back to our blog page. Please make sure to reference our challenge. Hey everyone! I used a variety of blues along with white and black for my layout. I backed a wave cut file with patterned papers and added a few clouds from the Rainy Days wood veneer pack. I colored the clouds with white Gesso and then added some mist. I used the Twinkle Stamp on my background. I added a Nautical Life Preserver Ring, the Nautical Anchor and 2 flair from the Nautical Set 1. I colored the chipboard with Gesso and then added a few mists. Looking forward to seeing your take on this fun challenge!

Hello! I am really loving how this page turned out with all the blues! I first embossed the background with some white embossing powder and stamps and then sprays some different colors of blue color mists on top. I then used embossing powder on the Wave Border 3 and on the Curly Flourishes and also on the small chipboard piece that I cut up from the Photo or Page Corners Set 1. I added one of the flairs from the By The Sea Flair Set on top of the flower cluster.

Hi everyone and welcome to our July Challenge.  The stormy image and colors for this month’s challenge inspired me to created this masculine over sized tag.  I used papers from Couture Creations which were a perfect match.  I used several pieces of Creative Embellishments Chipboard, Gear Set 2 Small,  Mini Pocket Watches, Scribble Bulbs, Distressed Punchinella, Circles, Ripped Notebook Paper and Punchinella Pieces, all of which I treated with various shades of blue distressed oxide inks and bronze and brushed iron waxes.  I built up layers of papers on the tag and tucked in the chipboard in various spots.  I hope you’ll join us this month!

Welcome July, and another fabulous challenge!
Here’s the thing about challenges…sometimes they let you create outside of your comfort zone and I LOVE that! Today is one such day, I normally don’t create much with the colour blue. However when I saw the challenge, I knew exactly what photo would compliment the colour palette perfectly.

I chose to work with patterned papers from the Santorini Collection by Prima. I took the “Dance to the Beat of Your Dreams” sentiment and the Flourish Page Corner 5 and covered them in black paint. Then using a Heidi Swapp Shimmer Mister (Navy) I sprayed over top of both pieces. I love the shimmery dark look it gave both pieces. I added a few gems from my stash to the corners that were placed above and below the matted photo.
