Happy Spring to all my scrappy friends!! We are having an early Spring up here in Alaska. Our temperatures are breaking records at 10 degrees above the normal. Sure hope it holds through the summer. Sometimes when we have a warm Spring we have a cold Summer. I’m back today to share a layout of my youngest grandson, Cameron and my daughter, Jenny in a selfie they took on their way back from camping.
I wanted the layout to look like a circuit board of the inside of a phone. Plus, no flowers, just plain and simple. It wasn’t an easy task believe me. I used lots of stickers and rub ons to accomplish the task. But first I used a notebook paper punch around the outer edges of the paper and then used the Arrow Stencil and a chalk ink around the edges in various places. Turned out cool, I think.
Next I used the Smartphone chipboard piece to surround my photo. I painted it with a silver metallic paint and did the details in black. I am not a good detail painter, so don’t look too close, lol!!!
I popped up the phone with some cardboard and matted it for some depth. Next, I cut apart a piece of Retro Square Panel chipboard after I inked it with Ranger’s Archival Ink. Love this technique.
I used pieces of film strip that I fussy cut from some cardstock to tie the chipboard together and added some cute phrases and quotes.
Like I said that is a pretty simple layout, but lots of fun to create. The best part is deciding what you want to say or include as embellishments. Hope you enjoyed your visit and will stop back. Don’t forget our Monthly Challenge with that wonderful prize. Please pop in again for another visit, until then…..
This is so fun! Very creative!
