Lisa:

Happy April Fools day everyone! I was inspired by the colors blue and green and the tree in the photo. I used 2 of the Creepy Trees and added a coat of white Gesso, glass beads, lots of mists and BoBunny Glitter glue to them.  I used the Blizzard Word Set for my title. I added mists and Stickles to them. I added 3 Distressed Snowflake Flair and for the twist to add wood, I added 3 Chevron Wood Veneer. I created my messy background with mists and the Grunge Snowflake Stamp. I can’t wait to see your take on this challenge!

Welcome to the season of weddings and beached themed layout, and it is so fitting I am currently on a ship cruising the Caribbean. I was asked by a good friend to put something together for a shadow box for an upcoming wedding near the end of April. I was more that honoured to be asked and jumped at the chance.  She sent me some photos via text message. They were good but I did alter them slightly with my photo editing program. I am also going to do mini album with the other photos so look for that near the end of the month. These photos were perfect for the thoughts I had.I started with some background stamping with various colours and stamps including the Distress Grid, Fishnet and Distressed Crackle Stamp. After seem added texture with the fishnet stencil I started to put the composition together.I mixed in the Nautical Corner along with the large sea shells in a collection of flowers, real shells and pearls, and i finished it out with the From This Day Forward Title.

I have a little video of the creative process.

Welcome to our April Challenge! Sandi here sharing an oversized 10 inch tag with 7 different Creative Embellishments products. I was inspired to capture something of a more spiritual nature this month, so there are lots of hidden meanings here. I had planned to use this as a bookmark for my Lenten devotionals but it became far too dimensional! For the “use wood” twist, I added the wood veneer alphabet pieces. All the chipboard pieces were altered with 13 Arts inks. CE products used are: Large Tags, Viney Flourish Frame,  Leafy Tree, Barbed Wire Border 4,  Thorn Flourish Pair,  Distressed Text Stamp,  Seasons Change Flair, Alphabet Game Pieces.

Jennifer Snyder here with my cosmic cards.  These cards feature some of the coolest, most unique chipboard Artist Trading Coins on the market – designed by Creative Embellishments.
I love them because they are perfect for my needs -card making.
The Shape Artist Trading CoinsBaby Artist Trading Coins and Constellations were embossed with an aged gold embossing powder. Very simple.
The twist was to incorporate wood into the project.  I used wood grain paper as a background.

Debbie Burns here to share my take on the April Challenge.  I found the picture to be very  inspirational.  I was inspired by so many elements.  The one that really stood out for me were the tree branches and roots.  I thought of creation, growth and to be driven by what beauty our wonderful planet holds.   Lots of Creative Embellishments on this canvas, Flourish 6,  Frond Set 1,  Nautical Compass,  Hummingbirds and Journey Word Set.  All of the chipboard was inked in various colors with an added touch of colored wax. I hope you’ll play along with us this month.

Hi everyone and Happy April! Spring is here and I created this fun Spring tag for the challenge. Of course for the wooden twist is my chippys! I used a piece from the Large Tag set and adorned it with Heart Butterflies, Harlequin Panel pieces and a sentiment from the adorable new Love Arrow Set. I hope you all play along and I cant wait to see what you make!!!!!!!!

Hello friends! Debbie Sherman here sharing my large tag for the April challenge.I used the Dream Catcher 3
as my focal point however, Creative Embellishments has several dream catchers to choose from so you can add your own twist to this tag!
I added some wood Veneer Feathers  to my dream catcher for the twist in the challenge.   Hope you all play along with the design team and this colorful fun challenge!
Hello crafty friends! I love challenges, and this one is no exception.
I decided to create my layout based on the earthy nature of the challenge image. Flowers, growth and everything beautiful.
I used the following Creative Embellishments pieces to create my layout:
Lotus (2 sets)        Flourish Page Corner       Autumn Leaves      Gorgeous Small Border Word Set

Using white paint and a foam stencil brush I covered the Flourish Page Corners and the Lotus bases. While the Lotuses are still wet, add fine glitter and let dry. Using a clarity brush and slate blue paint, brush the edges of the white Flourish Page Corners. Using the same slate blue paint, cover the “Ravishing” word, and the Lotus top pieces. Add some white paint to the ends of the word piece. Using green paint, cover the 2 leaf pieces. Take some liquid from a dark green mister, and brush on the colour onto the leaves. Using irRESISTible ink spray, flick some onto the leaves and let dry.
