Hello crafty friends!!!  I’m back today with my last layout for January, and it is definitely a “Frozen” one.  The photo was taken by a local resident on the coldest day of the year so far when it was about -12 degrees Fahrenheit.  We haven’t had that type of cold weather in Anchorage for a at least a couple of years.  It normally only lasts for about 2 weeks, and then we are back to the upper 20’s.  It was so beautiful, but cold!!!  I love how the photographer captured the sun dog in the photo (that is not a flaw in the photo).  I got my inspiration for this layout from my lovely and super talented friend Di Garling  I love winter, it’s feels so fresh, clean and with the snow is so quiet.

I have been wanting to use the Snowflake Page Corner for some time, and was just waiting for the perfect layout, and this one was it.  This chipboard is a large piece and is stunning!!!!! I decided to use dark blue metallic paint and then a coat of silver metallic paint to match the flowers.  It turned out to be a perfect match.

After matting the photo and adding a fussy cut snowflake, I decided to use the smaller Snowflake Page Corner Set (which I cut in half) as an embellishment in the bottom left corner and on the corner of the photo.  On the photo piece I used Ranger’s Snowflake Embossing Powder.  It glitters like crazy.

I know, I know, flowers don’t grow in the Winter.  I told my Husband to use his imagination, or his inner child and pretend that they do, hehe.  I sure did have fun creating the flower clusters.  I wanted to suspend the Falling Snow Set from the flower clusters.  I embossed them with the Ranger’s Snowflake Embossing Powder.  This powder is filled with glitter and really makes the snowflakes sparkle.

I chose “Glisten” from the Snow Pretty Word Set as it just seemed perfect for the layout.

Hope you enjoyed your visit today and will stop back for more inspiration from the CE Design Team.  Until next time, hope you find time to create something you really enjoy!!!!  Stay safe and warm!!!
