Hello Dear Friends from the COLD Far North!!!  We are having our cold snap with minus zero temps.  We haven’t had them for about 2 years, so it is good to get back to normal.  I love winter and scrapping winter layouts and CE’s Monthly Challenge is all about “Frosty”, so please join in the fun and win some fabulous chipboard prizes.  My sisters and nieces, daughter and I have a tradition of getting Peppermint Mochas at Starbucks when they come out for the Holidays.  It just starts the Season off right.  Here is my gorgeous Sis, Carol and her daughter (my niece) Dani enjoying their first.  I wish I was there, sigh.

I love to layer paper mats, which is what I did behind my photo.  Then I cut the Snowflake Frame in half and tucked them in around the corners of the photos.  Forgot to mention that I used Wow Embossing Glitter Powder in “Whirlpool” first.

There are 6 loose snowflakes that come with this frame that I treated in two different ways.  For 2 of them I splattered with gesso and for 4 I heat embossed glitter power from Blue Fern Studios “Stormy Seas”.

At the bottom right of the photo I used one of the Large Snowflake Set.  I altered this one with a holograph heat embossed powder that unfortunately does not show up.  The gesso splatters do show though.  I decided to add a little red flower to give a pop of color on that side of the layout.  To the left of the snowflake is the title and below is the hint:  peppermint mochas.

I created a flower cluster in the left side of the layout that was so much fun.  I tucked in a the Coffee Cup piece of chipboard that I painted and embossed to look like a Starbuck’s Christmas Coffee Cup.  Check out the little snowflake straw!! I also tucked in a Coffee Flair.  Cute huh?

I created another flower cluster at the top right of the photo and tucked in another little Coffee Flair that I think is adorable “Hug in a Mug”.

I sure had a blast making this layout, and hope you enjoyed my sharing the details.  Please stop by again for another adventure in scrapbooking.  Don’t forget to join us in our Monthly Challenge.  It’s so easy, with great prizes.  Here’s a big Alaska bear hug!!
