Now onto our amazing DT reveal!

Hello, this is Marci  and welcome to September!    I was inspired by the vintage feel of the photo as well as the background.  I thought of the day I took my grandsons and niece on a PIRATE EXPEDITION-a lot to “DISCOVER” there!  I wonder what you will do-hope you can join us for a chance to win $50 in fabulous products!  You have ALL MONTH!  Creative Embellishments Products Used:  Anchor  I inked the anchor in black, grey and white to give it a worn appearance and ran twine through.  Shore Flair buttons:  I LOVE flairs & use them whenever I can-I tucked one around each circular photo.  Sailboat  :  I turned this into a pirate ship, using blue ink on the bottom.  White distress paint inked w/black and then I used Computer Grafix clear sticker paper and printed and placed the skull/crossbones on the sails.  Bubble Panel:  I used a piece of the panel around the photos and dabbed blue and white ink and spritzed with white Mr Hueys.  Wave border:  I cute and inked this border with several shades of blue and dabbed white ink on the crested portion of the wave.

Another month at Creative Embellishments and great mood board with another unique twist. Something found…..Well the kids and I find stuff all the time in the gardens, most of the time alive, but sometimes dead. Over the years we have found butterflies and moths that have completed their circle of life. So for this month I wanted to showcase one of the beauties we have found. I started with the Large Tag and after covering, I did a variety of stamping with different stamps and colours. I used some of my favourites: Distress Checkered, Distressed Moroccan and the Distressed Burlap. There is a subtle checkered pattern in the paper and I added some more texture with the Distress Checkered Stencil. Using the Oval Intricate Frame, I showcase the butterfly. And titled the tag with the Unique word from Unique Word Set. I made a video of how this came together. With the kids being home from school on summer holiday and the weather being so beautiful, I do create outside as much as possible. This day of creating was another day to enjoy those times.

Butterfly tag

Here is a video for you all.

This challenge is one of my favorites!  It inspires you to get out and discover something interesting or just get out and have a date with your camera.  I chose the latter.  I was also inspired by the rustic colors and tried to incorporate those on my chipboard and background.

Our city just built a beautiful botanic garden so I thought I’d venture there and see what I could find.  I never made it into the building because I discovered a beautiful Fall butterfly garden.  There were hundreds of butterflies flying around, some plants had 20 or more on them.  I took lots of photos but this one was one of my favorites.  I’ll be sharing more in the weeks to come.

To embellish this beautiful photo I used several pieces of chipboard from the Creative Embellishments Store.  I started off with the Arched Door Set 2

Berries and Berry Branches and of course you have to have Butterflies set of 5!!!  To colors these chipboard I pieces I used colored ink in yellows and greens and browns. I added some copper wax to the top and then inked them up with Versa Mark and added clear embossing powder to give them some gloss.

Hello.  Welcome to September. I am here to share my interpretation of the September Challenge.  Two relatives have recently moved into new homes.  These are cards to welcome them to their new place.  The twist this month is something discovered.   I discovered their new addresses.  Ok a stretch… but I’m using it.

The chipboard used on these pieces include Keys,  Creative Embellishments – Stitched Border and Filigree Corner Set 1.  Each piece used has been finished with a bit of embossing powder.

Welcome to the September Challenge here at Creative Embellishments. I’m excited to share my take on the Inspiration Photo … which was to go Steampunk and play with some of the Steampunk chipboard pieces that Nicolle has in the store. This is an altered Travelers journal and I adore how it turned out!! I’ve used the Steampunk Hot Air BalloonSteampunk Goggles and the Gears Set.  For the something found twist, I’ve used some small embellishments that I found in my scrappy junk drawers and was tickled to finally use, especially that wee suitcase and the gorgeous aqua drawer knob! Can’t wait to see how the photo inspires YOU!

Hi everyone and welcome to September Challenge. I created two giant tags. One of my favs is using the Large Tag set. I also used some pieces from a Clock Face and Doily on each tag. The Number Panel is one of the new chippys in the store and I can tell I will be using it lots! I finished it off with some Distressed Text Stamping and a sentiment from the Small Family Border Word Set. For the twist I added a couple of gems that I found at a thrift store. Have fun playing along and I cant wait to see what you make!!!!!!!!

We would love to see what you create. For a chance to be 1 of 2 lucky winners of a $50.00 gift voucher to the CE store remember to link your project to the tool below.
