Hello crafty friends!! I’m back with a layout that I consider a work in progress. Have you had a layout that you just can’t complete cause you just want to add that perfect something, something every time you look at it. Well, that’s how this layout is. It features my lovely niece Dani Ulstad and her handsome hubby, Michael. These 2 are definitely “IN LOVE”. I absolutely adore this photo which is deliberately taken with the sun shining through onto their heads, so ethereal. So onto the details. The colors did not photograph very well, they are a soft grey, yellow and teal blue, very soft.
I used a couple of older paper collections from Blue Fern Studios and Simple Stories for the background papers, added bits of antique lace along the edges and started to assemble the center focus.
I absolutely adore the Feeling the Love Frame that I used in the center of the photo. I splattered it with Lumiere’s Pearlescent White Paint and think it turned out pretty cool.
At the top right of the photo I used the Vintage Flourish 2 which I painted with the same Lumiere’s Pearlescent White Paint. Turned out beautiful.
I have admired the silhouette of flower designs that are in style now, but haven’t had an opportunity to use them until now. At the top right and bottom left side of the photo I used the Rose Set 1 . I simply embossed them using a white embossing powder. I love the simplicity.
Dani is a violinist, so I fussy cut a violin and tucked it in for interest.
She is also a 1st grade teacher, but most recently started a highly successful photography business Ronny & Rene Photography Designs.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I consider this to be a very simple, but elegant layout that will continue to be a “work in progress” for sometime. I hope you like it, and will stop back for more inspiration. Hope you have a wonderful, creative week!
