 Marci

Hello!  Happy July!  This is such a festive and fun month with July 4th just a few days away! It always brings Red, White & Blue to the forefront and this is exactly what the inspiration  brings with this month’s challenge.   Hope you can join us !   CREATIVE EMBELLISHMENTS PRODUCTS:  2018 piecesMoments, which I overlapped to make this page title.  Capture the MomentStarburst, which I used on the right side of this page.  Stars, I inked these stars and scattered them. Distressed Square Stencil, I used navy and white ink on the color blocked area.

Hello from Sandi! It’s July already and time for a new challenge here at Creative Embellishments with our new Design Team. I’m so, so glad to be back! I drew my inspiration this time from the colors of the Inspiration photo and did my version of a little color blocking. This sweet photo is my granddaughter who recently graduated and is looking all proud in her cap and gown. I’ve used some of my old favorite Creative Embellishments products as well as some newer faves. You’ll see the Believe from the Inspire Word Set, some Star Pieces, the remarkable Stars in my Universe Frame,  my ole favorite and dearly loved Circle Bokeh Stamp, the  Distressed Circle Stencil and some Vintage Patriotic Flair. We hope you will join us with your interpretation of this month’s challenge!

Jennifer Snyder here to celebrate Independence Day through the July Challenge at Creative Embellishments.  Creative Embellishments has some awesome patriotic chipboard pieces that helped make my cards especially festive.  The red card is adorned with a hot air balloon from the 4th of July Set 2  painted with acrylic paint and a beautiful Lace Border (#1) that looks like a bunting.

The blue card uses the Patriotic Star as the focal point.  I embossed the chipboard with white embossing powder and then added a piece of bold red cardstock to make the star pop and really show off the stars and strips of our beloved nation.

Debbie Sherman

Hello Friends of Creative Embellishments!  Debbie here sharing my project for the July Celebration challenge.  Independence Day is one of our country’s most important days for celebration, reflection and to thank the men and women who fight for our country everyday.  I created a small mini folio for this challenge using the Flourish1 on the Folio as the main focus for the cover. I painted it using metallic blue paint and then embossed it with thick copper embossing powder.  I finished the cover with a variety of coordinating flowers, sequins, seed beads, lace and bling.

Another month and new twist to the challenge. I must confess, I had to look up what blocking was. I hope I captured it right. lol. I deceided to make a tag using one of the large tags from the store, I made a video of the process but didn’t realise I taped 16 minutes of nothing and totally missed stamping the background with the Grunge Star stamp and the stencilling with the Twinkle Star Stencil. After getting the tag assembled with the paper and the background, it was just a matter of getting some flowers and adding a flourish and a little flair with the fly away flair set and then embossing the tittle “Discover Freedom“.
