For this challenge, I was inspired to create a Christmas-y layout, and I added a Pinecone Border for the twist.  I used gold ink on the pinecones in the Pinecone Border, the Pine Cone Clusters, and on the Happy Word Set.  I also traced the details of the pinecones with gold Stickles.

What an awesome challenge image this month, so festive it’s hard not to start thinking about Christmas. This image inspired my to make a thin 5 x 7 inch canvas to give as a gift to my mom. I wanted to recreate the dark sky and stars background. In order to so do, I played with 4 colors of dark acrylics (night, navy, purple and medium blue). Once dry, I started to add my chipboard elements. I embossed in gold the Spiral Tree. I embossed in white the Merry Christmas  and kept the Jumping Deer natural color. For the star effect on my background, simply add touches of stickles and voila, a perfect star filled sky. Enjoy the challenge !

I just loved this month’s inspiration photo and have taken my inspiration from the colours and the glistening snowflakes to create this layout. I’ve used the CE Snowflake Stencil along with some white modelling paste on the blue background paper – and once the modelling paste was dry, I added some silver stickles to the snowflakes for a bit of sparkle. I also used the larger of the Snowflake Borders, the Falling Snow Set, and the Let it Snow title – I primed all these pieces with White Gesso and then embossed them with Stampendous Winter Wonderland Embossing Powder. I also added some Silver Stickles to the chipboard snowflakes. I hope you will play along with this month’s challenge and that you have a wonderful holiday season!

December is one of my favourite times of the year. This month at Creative Embellishements has a great new mood board and the twist on the challenge is to use a boarder on your project. I decided to make a tag and a c-fold card. I used a variety of fun elements and chipboard on my proect. With background textrue with the Boken Circle Stencil. For the twist I used the Snowflake Boarder Set topped off with some beautiful glass glitter. And for the title, I used the holdiay sentiment “Tis the Season” I have a video to share with you today also. So enjoy, Tis the Season.

Hi Bev here….  Using the mood board  I created my double page layout above. I was inspired by the snowflakes, winter and softness in colour. The twist was borders and I added some bell border, and  music note borders to my project.  I showcase many chipboards using 2 amazing frames – snowflake frame 2 and  out of this world frame. The title is Merry Christmas and I used  chipboard snowflakeslarge snowflake set, to accent my page. Some pieces are left natural colouring while others are either painted or copic coloured.  I am thrilled with my double page that is just waiting for family photos from our celebrations this year in December 2017.

Hello!  I know it’s December!  But-this was August and the Philadelphia Zoo had snow!  I was so curious, I took my grandsons and WOW-was it fun for them-and ME -to see their joy! As you can see, I was inspired by the snowy scene.  Creative Embellishments Products Used:  Snowflake Border : covered with white gesso and then coated with white stickles.  Distressed Text Stamp : Randomly stamped around the paper’s edges.  Snowflake Stencil :  Used with white light texture paste in the upper left corner and then overlapping the 2 smaller photos.

I was inspired by the combination of blue and dark colours in the mood board and made a card based on the mood board. For the twist to use borders I used pieces of washi tape on my background. In the center of my card I used two Ripped Notebook Papers, which I accentuated with brown ink. I also incorporated several Chipboard Snowflakes on my card. I kept these snowflakes blank and only added a few touches of grey paint to them.

Hi Everyone! One of my favourite times of the year! Christmas! I love the inspiration photo this month! The twist is a border piece so I went with the Corner Flourish 4. I have tucked in pieces of chippys on each piece with extra Snowflakes and Berries. The card has one of the fun JumpingDeer on it. Have fun playing along and I can not wait to see what you make!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone!  I LOVE to make Christmas decorations and more!  I was inspired by the whole wintery feel of the photo!

For the twist I used the Santa Sleigh 2, I also used tiny lights, Santa Stop Here Signs, Christmas Countdown, and Clock hands

Marilyn Rivera

I have been inspired by the blue sky full of stars in the challenge photo to create this card. I took a piece of white cardstock and painted  with distress oxides in blue colors.   I put the Distressed Circle Stencil over it and sprayed water, with a paper towel I absorbed the excess of water, then I removed carefully the stencil and I get the circular design. I painted with gold metallic paint the Believe from the Christmas Sentiments and the star from the Buttons.

Are you having a hard time seeing the inspiration for my layout from the photo?  Ok, so I went with an esoteric interpretation.  The photo depicts love, peace and harmony, togetherness.  My girls evoke all those emotions in me.  They are the calm when I am having a storm so to speak.  If you have a strong bond with an animal, then you understand what I’m saying.  If you don’t, you might think I’m a little crazy!  For the twist I used the Adore word from the  Family Word Border Set  and Gorgeous word from the Gorgeous Small Border Word Set.  To draw the eye to the photos I used Square Doodle Frames and the Wavy Film Strips.  Then I used the Pumpkin Vine Flourish underneath my clusters to really show off the florals.
I hope you play along!
