Hi everyone!

It’s Marilyn here and  I created a mixed media layout on a dark background with sparkling chipboards.

I was inspired in the Beautiful Day chipboard to create this page. I traveled to teach mixed media classes in Peru last September, I had a wonderful time there and this photo is a lovely memory. I started applying black gesso to the cardstock then I gave textures using a stencil with modeling paste. I added colors using mica powders.

I embossed the Beautiful Day chipboard with a gold metallic color. It gives a fabulous bright effect to the chipboard.

I also embossed the Circles chipboard panel  in the same gold then I cut the panel in four pieces.  I put the different pieces behind the photo and around .

I added more textures with mica flakes and microbeads.

 

You can see from this angle all the textures and the beautiful chipboards.
