Hi! It’s Romy here! This weekend I received a package full of pretty Creative Embellishment chipboard shapes, some of which were simply perfect for fall and winter. I just couldn’t resist starting to play right away, so I decided to make both a fall and a winter card with a few of my favourite chipboard pieces. Fun fact: both cards feature almost exactly the same design. But since I used different colours, styles and chipboard details, they still look quite differently in my opinion.
My first card is obviously the fall-themed one that I made. I used warm colours on this one and a few chipboard leaves to give my card the perfect fall look. As a central element on my card, I used one of the Heart Doodle Frames and a chipboard Bird House. The two large leaves on the bottom come from the Autumn Leaves set. All these chipboard pieces were inked with brown ink. For the roof of the bird house, I used a little bit of glitter glue as well. After that, I added a few tiny leaves from the Branch and Leaves set. I painted them with hazelnut coloured paint and then added a thin layer of glitter glue.
My second card is one I made for winter. Although winter still seems quite far away, I can never start early enough creating a few cards for this lovely season, especially since I couldn’t resist using these adorable chipboard snowflakes immediately after I received them.
On this card I used a Heart Doodle Frame as well. As you can see, I also used another birdcage from the same package as the one I used on the first card too. I used grey paint to alter the chipboard heart. For the birdhouse, I only used a thin layer of glitter glue to give it a wintery look. To finish off my tag, I incorporated a few tiny Snowflakes. I covered them with glitter glue too.
What is your favourite season when it comes to crafting?
