Sarah Routledge

The crazy-fun picture for this month’s challenge inspired me to create a FUN layout using the CE Chipboard hashtags #SUMMER and #FUN from the Social Hashtags set. I painted the title with three shades of Prima  Metallique paints (Deep Waters, Rich Turquoise and Mermaid Teal) to create an Ombré effect. For an extra fun touch, I added one of the Wood Veneer Geek Chic Glasses, which I painted with Prima Metallique Paint in Steampunk Copper.

This super Lacrosse sports page showcases the use of #hashtags and using the colour yellow from the mood board challenge. I painted the sports hashtags and number 28 with yellow paint… but left the washi tape clusters natural colour.

Marci

Hi!  This is Marci -I was inspired to use a SELFIE my husband & I took on my birthday eve in June; we were waiting for our family to join us for dinner when I took this photo.  As you can see I used hashtags too. I hope you can join us for this month’s Challenge!

Creative Embellishments Products Used: (Click & go!)  Number Stamp: stamped sporadically and faintly in the background  Hash Tags:  I used a silver sharpie, glossy accents and edged with white stickles  Social Media Flair Buttons: 1 is by the photo, the other 2 are tucked in a flower cluster  Flourish leaves: I used a green sharpie to color these around the flowers

I love this mood board this month, so fun and bright. So many possibilities. I did a ton of background work on this Large Tag, I even made a video of the process, you can enjoy that here I used so many of my favorite stamps, one of my favs is the Distressed Corner Stamp, so many details all in one. After adding more stamping with the Distressed Burlap Stamp and the Distressed Harlequin Stamp, I used the Metal Stencil and Paint Stencil to add a textured feel to the tag. Using some matching Grunge Circles and Grunge Arrows, I topped it off  with a the title Hashtag Happy.  Such a prefect picture for the tag! I hope you play along this month!

The background of this month’s inspiration photo reminded me of crackle paint, so I used crackle paint on some of the chipboard pieces I put on these cards.  I used the Heart Balloon Set and painted two of the three balloons in each cluster blue with liquid pearls, and then added a thick layer of crackle paint on top for plenty of texture.  For the middle balloons and “string,” I used gold stickles.  I used the same two treatments for the hashtag titles on these cards, which came from the Valentine’s Hashtags set.

Hi everyone and Happy August! …For the inspiration photo I went with another super large tag. The Large Tag Set is so much fun and these are about 10 inch big tags! My main chippy is the Circle Vine Frame. I tucked in a Rock On Flair and finished it all off with a Social Hash Tag for the sentiment. Have fun playing along and I can not wait to see what you make!!!!!!!!

This challenge inspired me to create a girly and happy card with lots of pink and bright colours. For the hashtags, I did a little bit of handwriting and wrote down a few words on my card with fineliner. I used one of the butterflies from the Butterflies Set of 3 as a central element on my card. I heat embossed it with pink embossing powder to make it match my card. Besides, I used one of the Square Mini Frames, which I kept neutral as it was, to make the chipboard butterfly and kraft ticket stand out more.

WE would love to see what ya’ll come up with.
