Winter Wonderland Layout

Hello, Heather here today. As the season get cold and the holidays come around, there is tons of traditions and festive things that we do with the kids. One of most important things we do is go hunting for the tree. We always try to go when it is snowing and when the weather is so festive and fun.   It’s a great time to spend together and hopefully I can get some good pictures along the way.

This paper collection is gorgeous all by itself, So I wanted to incorporated at much of it as I could and the icicle and trees boarder was perfect for this page.

I only added some very subtle details on the background, simple stamping with the Distressed Script Stamp and a bit of texture using the Fairy Dust Stencil,  and a tiny bit of spray. Not much layering today on here but that was perfect.

I love using the texture sand to add details to my chipboard. It gives the trees a rustic feel to them.  After applying a layer of texture sand, I painted with some metallic paint, after that dried, I dry brushed over the top of the to highlight the peaks of the texture.  I also tucked in some bark stars to add to the rustic mood of the paper and layout.
