Hello CE friends!! Nicolle here today sharing a layout I created for Colorstoriesinspiration case file 212 guest DT spot. CE is also a sponsor this month there. Play along for a chance to win a gift voucher to our store.

My son Bret’s dreams are to be a model. He knows its not easy but is not willing to give up just yet. Recently he walked the runway in downtown Buffalo at Shea’s. All proceeds went to charity and he got the chance model a couple of shirts for a designer. He’s hoping to be able to do another next month as well. At least its very good practice walking down the runway. I am a lil biased but he is sure one handsome kiddo.

How I solved the case.

Evidence: Shiny gold elements, clock elements, clips and frame. (darn ….forgot to add the staples)

Testimony: (written on lined note paper)

My journaling says: This day was so important to you. Your 1st runway walk that you prepared weeks for. You were able to model 2 shirts for a fashion designer. You are that much closer to fulfilling your dreams.

I started by adding stars to the background with heavy gesso using our fairy dust stencil. A good amount of the chipboard I altered was very much in the same way. The star doodle frame, grunge star corner, camera, clock, zipper and gears were all altered using old gold 13@rts ayeeda paint. The brick pieces were altered with black soot stain which I let seep into the engraved part of the chipboard and then I went back and added white gesso to the tops of the brick. I added a very faint crackle effect to the tops of the brick with our crackle stamp and TH corduroy stain.  The Dream title piece was done in an ombre effect using 2 blue TH distress paints.
