Hey everyone, I’m back today with my latest project. Is it really the middle of September already? I have to say, I do love the warm weather, but the cooler weather keeps me indoors and when I am indoors I am creating. I have so much fun just creating. The chipboard from CE has made it really easy. I really do love this chipboard

Today I have an altered journal cover.  Do you remember those older Prima journal covers that are canvas with the resist design on it and all the different page inserts? I have a few of those I was hoarding. Well, I decided to bust one of those babies out and just create. I grabbed a handful of my favorite things from my stash. The number one thing being my Creative Embellishments chipboard. I also added a bunch of flowers, metal pieces, lace bits, art stones and lots of mixed media.

So here is my journal cover:

For my chipboard pieces I used the door-knockers pieces. I adhered them to the journal cover in their natural state, as I did all my other embellishments. My chippies got a light coating of clear gesso, while the rest got a coat of white gesso. I like using clear gesso on the chippies instead of the white because I want the true color of my medium to shine on the chippies (does that make sense)..lol? Any way…Then I began to mist away. I used lost of Lindy’s mist on this one.

Here are a couple of close ups:

I really got a lot of shimmer on the chippies. You can see a bit of it here.

That’s all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by the blog. See you next month with some more projects to share.
