I was really inspired by the rollercoaster pic – we go to 6 Flags Great Adventure often, and I always have plenty of those to scrap! I also went ahead for the twist and added a circular element… well, a lot of circular elements. I colored the wood veneer stars with markers, and I painted the title “together” with a paint marker. The title comes from the Family Word Border Set. And for the roller coaster, I first cut it down to size to fit the layout better, and then covered the whole thing with dimensional paint in silver and gold. And of course, for the final touch, I couldn’t resist adding the cute roller coaster flair from the Carnival Flair set.

I absolutely loved the idea of using hot air balloons on my layout, which is the inspiration to my layout for this months challenge.  I used the hot air balloon set 2 and added some of the coordinating papers to the backs of the balloons to match my layout.. I then used some of the circle background, painting them white and then adding some light blue paint here and there, I tucked them behind my photo mat, adding the chipboard saying “Adventure” from the Adventure word set and then adding some of the birds from the Birds set.  The clouds and the word seeker are both cardstock, which I created using my Cameo.. The papers I used are by 7 Dots Studio.

I was inspired by the ‘Dreamy’ feel to the inspiration picture and – since the twist was to use a circle in the project – I thought a Dream Catcher would be a fun project  for this challenge. I’ve used the Creative Embellishments large Feathers and the smaller feathers from the Masquerade Masks to embellish my Dream Catcher. I painted the feathers with Prima Art Alchemy Acrylic Paints in Metallique Royal Red and Metallique Gold Rush. Once the paint dried, I embossed the tips of the red feathers with gold embossing powder and the tips of the gold feathers with black embossing powder.

SweetHi everyone, I was inspired by the flowers in the bottom of the picture, green and yellow colors and feet of the merry-go-round which form a triangle. I worked Arrow Frame with acrylic paint and I applied glossy accent to add of the shine. I embossed the Stars, the Triangles and Sweet title (Girl Word Set). To add contrast, I used Grunge Stars stamp, Distressed Text Stamp and Distressed Circle Stamp with jet black Archival ink. I look forward to your interpretation !!

I was mainly attracted by the sky contrasting colors, which inspired me a grunge layout. This picture of my oldest son was a perfect match.

Since this month twist was to use circles, I decided to integrate many of them to my background. Some are done using a stencil and Gelatos and the others are from different stamp sets. I used Binary Stamp with Archival blue ink to add constrast. The new Brick pieces, painted with Gelatos, were used to mat my picture and on either side of the layout to complete my grungy look. I also used a bunch of mini gears. My title is from Social Media Hash Tags set. Can’t wait to see your August projects!

Hi friends, don’t you just love this month’s challenge inspiration photo?  It’s magical appearance and colors sent me straight to my Steampunk Debutante papers!  Creative Embellishments has so many cool steampunk chippies that I have been dying to use, so on this layout I used the Steampunk Hat Set up in the top right corner.  I painted the hate with a flat black acrylic paint and then misted the goggles and feather with gold mist.  The challenge twist this month is to use a circular element and I have a bunch!  The most obvious circular elements are the Steampunk Gears -set of 6 and Mini Gears,  that I heat embossed with aged gold embossing enamel.  I used Idea Bulbs for a fun title and finally a great Steampunk Pipe Corner in the lower left corner.  Can’t wait to see what you do with this month’s inspiration challenge!

I was inspired by the overall theme of summer fun. I also went with the blue and yellow in the photo.

The photo is of my niece in the pool at my sisters house. I thought this photo screams summer fun.  I used the happy word set for the title. It just got a simple coat of embossing powder. Under the photo I used lace border 3. I used aged gold embossing powder on it.  Over my photo I used out-of-this-world-frame.  I used a combo of the aged gold and blue embossing powder on it. I love the balance of colors on this layout. The yellow and blues pop, but they don’t overwhelm. I hope you all join in with us this month!

I was inspired by the sky and colors from the picture above. I used our crackled brick stencil for the background. I used modeling paste and many different mists to color the background. The circle grunge and out of this world frame were altered using Tim Holtz distress paints, jaquard lumiere paints and gesso. The title you color my world was altered with TH paints and gesso. The crayons were altered first with black soot TH distress stain. I like to make sure that the product gets into the engraved parts of the chippies. I then applied TH distress paints. I altered the constellations with white gesso and altered the wood veneer stars with pewter lumier paint. To finish I added music flair. My kids color my world and put a song in my heart.
