Hello everyone !!!Today I would like to show you another piece of mix media art. I love to look on the dark sky with a hundret milion stars . Then I feel so calm and happy .It’s marvelous ineed to watch on television the system of stars, spirals , Milky Way and to speculate on what we may yet find at galaxy’s edges.This inspired me to create Galaxy canvas.
For this project I used my favorite colors; blue, black , and gold. First I gessoed the whole canvas with White gesso, then I used Circle Bokeh stencil and modeling paste. When the background was dry. I glued gears , parts of clocks and gauze.
To add more layers I used gel medium as a dimensional adhesive I added steampunk frame , flourish dragonflies and dreamcatcher. to the canvas to create dimension .Then I covered all embellishments with a layer of heavy black gesso.
I start to spray with lots of mists :pearl black , navy blue, pearl violet ,gold. I also used lots of mica powders : gold , rust ,green , gold opal magic and Purple. In the last step with a brush I sprinkled all canvas with withe gesso.
