Hello my crafty friends. I would like to share with you all my Winter themed mixed media altered wine bottle. I had so much fun altering this bottle. What better way to turn an everyday item you would normally toss in the trash than to turn it into a wonderful home decor piece you will enjoy looking at.
When you first start to alter your bottle its always best to rinse it out really good and try to remove as much of the labels as possible. I like to take a sheet of sand paper and run it up and down the bottle so that what ever I decide to adhere to my bottle will have something to hold on to. I covered the entire surface with tissue paper and white glue, while still wet I started to add all my chipboard pcs. and my image, once dry I covered the entire surface with white gesso (even the chippies) and while still wet sprinkled a lot of glitter all over the bottle. I then came with a lite shade of blue and pale pink color sprays and randomly sprayed the bottle. I guess the only down fall to altering bottles for me is the DRY time.. It can take for ever. A day later it was time to embellish..
At this point it all I needed to add where a few flowers, more glitter, micro beads, pearls, and flat back pearls and crystals.
Here are the Creative Embellishment Items I used,

I hope you have as much fun altering bottles as I do. Thanks for stopping by. Till next time, “Happy Crafting”
