Happy November Friends!! Wow there are only 2 more months left to this year. Time just flies by so fast as you get older. :/ This time of year is my favorite. I enjoy lots of family time and feel so lucky to have such a close knit family. I look forward to Thanksgiving. There is so many reasons to be thankful. I am so thankful for the small things. Sometimes you just don’t realize how important they are. 🙂
It’s a new month!! You know what that means… its time for a new challenge and DT reveal. The challenge is to be inspired by at least 1 of the elements in the picture below. Perhaps the mushrooms, pumpkins, leaves, buterfly, dragonfly, colors, flowers etc. In your post please let us know what you were inspired by. This months twist is to use a flourish on your project.
Challenge Rules:
Hi everyone! This months inspiration photo reminds me of Fall. I picked a photo of my grandson when he was a wee one. I added in some Distressed Text stamping in the background and both clusters are finished with pieces from Flourish Set 27 and the Autumn Leaves Set. Happy November everyone and hope to see you play along with us!
The photo this month makes me think of fall here in North Carolina. I love the crisp mornings we’re having and the beautiful clear sunny days. I also love the mushrooms in the photo. I used our Wood Veneer Mushrooms in my cluster at the bottom along with some leaves from our wood veneer Fall Leaves (set of 16). I lightly misted the mushrooms with Lindy’s Creme Brulee Cream. I colored the leaves with Lindy’s Gator Gumbo Olive mist and then touched on a little Lindy’s Autmn Maple Crimson mist. For the flourish twist, I used our Flourish 17, colored with Lindy’s Gator Gumbo Olive mist, to anchor my cluster at the top, along with a wood veneer mushroom. I think this is a really great inspiration photo, hope you’ll join in our challenge this month!
Happy November everyone… I’m loving our inspiration photo this month with all the warm tones and fall features, so I decided to create a canvas. I first applied my brick stencil using Art Basics Graphite Texture Paste and then highlighted the tops with Inka Gold in Platinum and Gold. Time to have fun with my chippies. I chose the Mushroom Pack #1 & Pumpkin Corners for the bottom of the canvas. Colored them using alcohol inks, assorted Lindys Sprays and seed beads for texture. Then I chose Falling Leaves for the top and side of the canvas, also utilizing many different Lindy’s Magical Micas to provide that beautiful glow. The twist for this project is to include a flourish which I then chose our Flourish Dragonflies which were painted with acrylic and then highlighted with Stickles. I hope you were inspired to create something pretty !
Hello Everyone, this months inspiration image reminded me of sunflowers and fall. What better way to think of fall then to think of sunflowers. I began with the 6×6 Moroccan Lattice Panel, gessoed it then inked with with Lawn green. Added the flourish 27 by cutting it in half; then added some wood veneer fall leaves. All nestled among the sunflowers where are from Heartfelt Creations.
Hello scrap friends, Here is November month which appears. We will soon begin Christmas count !! Time flies… For the challenge, I was inspired by orange color as well as leaves. I used Autumn Leaves Set, Flourish 15 and Fern Foliage 4. I put of gesso on my chippies and I had fun to colorize them with inks that I used on my background and on some chipboard, I applied glossy accent from Ranger. To add more texture, I used Distressed Corner Stamp and Distressed Text Stamp with a black ink for the contrast and Distress ink.
Hi all!! Love fall and this month’s Inspo pic just speaks fall!! One of my Fave times of the year , browns and golds fit perfectly with blues and greens! I made a sweet little canvas incorporating the Butterfly flourish Gears and 3 Inch Clock face. Treatment was coating with gesso then splashing with color! This is actually a 5×5 canvas but I wanted you to be able to see the details of the chippies so it’s a close up. I edged as much as I could with a little inker. Mixed Media Fall FUN!!
Hi CE friends! This is my take on the November Challenge . I was inspired by the leaves, flowers , and beautiful Autumn colours -brown , orange ,gold. For the twist I used lovley pumpkin corners. .I want to create Autumn Secret Garden . First I masked some bricks onto my papier and using brown ink I stamped some words. Then I added some cut pieces of papier and also I’ve cut the moroccan lattice panel in pieces to add texture behind my picture. . I add mysterious keys and painted them with Distress Ink – tea dye and vintage photo . I start to sprays some colours :brown , orange , red, yellow and gold;) I cant wait to see what everyone creates for this super fun challenge !!!

This month I created a layout for our challenge. I was inspired by so many elements from the picture above. The pumpkins, leaves, flourish, mushrooms, colors just to name a few. I love this picture of my daughter and thought it would be perfect for an autumn layout.
My go to products for altering chipboard are Tim Holtz stains and paints, lumiers paints, ink pads, gesso for priming and modeling past. started by stamping a few lea images to the background paper with vintage photo distress stain. I altered Flourish 17 with both mowed lawn and forest moss distress paints. The pumpkin vine flourishes were altered with modeling paste, mowed lawn distress paint, lumiere apple color paint and a green gelato. The pumpkins were altered with many layers starting with gesso, rusty hinge paint, silks apricot glaze and orange gelato. The vine part of the pumpkins were altered with apple green lumiere paint, green gelato and faber castell big pitt pen. The mushrooms were altered with TH vintage photo stain and paint, antique white and mowed lawn paint. The feather frame was altered using TH paints and stains as well as opaque lumiere paints for the beads. I left the wood veneer leaves and mushrooms in there natural state to keep with the color scheme.
