Hello CE Friends! Nicolle here sharing a layout I created for the guest spot at CSI colorstoriesinspiration this week. We are one of the sponsors this month as well at their challenge site. I always have a ton of fun solving their case files.
This time around I scrapped about my daughter Jolie. She’s the youngest of my 4 children as is growing up so fast. She’s in 8th grade and such a fun young lady. I picked the school portrait to scrap because her hair color goes perfectly with the colors in this case file.
How I solved the case:
Evidence: ginghan, circles, vines, ribbon, bows and wet medium.
Testimony: I used Sweet as an inspiration word.
Journaling: Jolie is now in 8th grade now. She is growing up to be a kind generous, helpful and sweet young lady. She has a fun personality and is beautiful inside and out. One act of kindness was that she spoke up for a friend at school when she was being picked on. I am so proud that she isn’t afraid to stand up for what is right.
I started with the distressed checker stamp and chevron stamps. I stamped there image using a prima chalk edger and lumiere paints to go with the color palette. I then altered the circle vine frame and flourish 6 with modeling paste and mowed lawn TH distress paint and then layering lumiere paint over in a lime green. The roses from set 1 and cut apart diamond shapes from our small harlequin panel were altered simply with a light pink TH distress paint. White picket fence was used on the cut apart chicken wire panel. The clock key was altered using a TH distress stain in wilted violet.
A couple fun close ups.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. Have a great day!
