Hi all, Tara here! Today I’m sharing with you my Boho Dream Catcher. This is a little different from my normal style of craft but I was really inspired by Miranda Edneys dream catchers from Prima, so I just had to make one – with my own twist of course!
I started with a small vine wreath that I had purchased from a yard sale some time back. I ripped up several fabrics into strips, creating tons of frays, I really like the tattered look it creates. I also used some crochet lace and very thick fiber string, to add different textures. Tying simple double knots to attach them to my wreath. I glued down a cream fabric flower, that I had cut off from a piece of rosette trim. I also adhered to the back of the wreath a crochet doily that I had in my stash. Then I used some braided twine for my loop, so the dream catcher could hang.
The last step was to prep my chipboard feathers, from the Masquerade Masks set. I coated the front and back of the feathers with white gesso. Next I used two different Glimmer Mists in Crushed Seashell and Sunshine to add some color. I used hot glue to attach them to the strips of fabric.
This is a very simple yet beautiful project! I hope you all enjoyed reading along. Thanks so much for stopping by! Don’t forget to check out all the new products in the Creative Embellishments Store. And play along in the Monthly Challenge!
