750 x 750G45 Steampunk Spells CE June 1 Time Flies

Hi friends!  Of course this month’s inspiration photo took me straight to Graphic’s 45’s Steampunk Spells papers and the fabulous Creative Embellishments steampunk chippies! There are 60 steampunk pieces to choose from, I think I need them all!  Around my photo I used the Steampunk Frame which I heat embossed with Lindy’s Midnight Gold.  For the twist, I added those awesome wings near the bottom are the Steampunk Wing Set 3.  First I heat embossed them with Stampendous Age Spice embossing enamel.  Then quickly, while the enamel was still hot, I sprinkled gold micro beads over them in random spots.  After the enamel cooled down, I covered with Glossy Accents to make sure the beads were adhered permanently.

Hi everyone! This month I’ve been inspired by a lot of things on the inspirational picture! First of all, the colors! I don’t use purple in my scrap but I challenged my self to try and I like it a lot! The clock was my starting point, I’ve sprayed it with a navy color shine. For the twist I’ve decided to use butterflies to fit with my picture. They were white embossed to make them glossy a bit. I used the distress text stamp to add texture to my background.

Picture or Video 6992 730x750This month’s mood board had me going after these Authentique Graduation papers I had had in my stash for a long time.  I had just received these graduation pictures of my granddaughter, Madison done by T. Hernandez, and loved the clock in the photo as well as the colors of the photo.  It inspired this page.  I used pieces of the Hexagon panel as well as the Steampunk Clock.  Then I used a word from the Happy Word Set in my title.

Hi everyone! I just love the inspiration photo this month. I used the June kit from the Flying Unicorn and I was inspired by the clock and butterfly to create this layout. I used the Large Clock Face chippy to frame my photo and added in pieces from the Bubble Panel. I also used the Distressed Text Stamp on my background. For the twist I added in some butterflies. I hope you all come play along this month with  us!

Hi all. Here is my project for the challenge this month. I was inspired by the flowers of the inspiration photo and for the twist I added in a butterfly. I prepared my canvas with a coat of gesso and I stick some compress above. I stick the Flourish 2, Distressed Chicken Wire Border, Butterflies (set of 3) and Beautiful Day title piece  chippies coated with gesso. I added micro beads, glass beads and mica Flakes. I applied my ink to the brush. I finished by making splashes with my used ink and of the India ink.

I hope you play and that you will share yours wonderful projets with us!!!

Hi Guys! This months challenge was very exciting, the picture is absolutely beautiful, it spoke to me. The clock is where I found my starting point of inspiration. Using the 5 inch Clock Face as my base for this altered box. I also used the coordinating Clock Hands. I primed the chipboard with a thin coat of gesso then lightly spread some gold colored Inka Gold to add some shimmer. I also used some clear Stickles here and there. For the title I used the word “Love” from the Happy Word Set. With this piece I  heat embossed shabby white Frantage embossing enamel. For the twist I added in some resin angel wings. I hope you all can find some inspiration with in this photo as well! Play along in the Monthly Challenge, found right here on the blog, to win some fabulous prizes! Until next time 🙂

To create this canvas, which was very much motivated by the inspiration photo, I started off with a black canvas, added the stenciled stars on the background, made stems with Liquid Pearls and added small flowers. After those elements were dry, I added the Creative Embellishments Wing Set 6 and Large Clock Face 4″ and a flower in the center and gave everything a heavy coat of black gesso. When the gesso was dried, I painted the canvas with several Silks Acrylic Glazes and I also splattered white gesso all over the “sky.” Next, using my fingertips, I gilded the chipboard pieces and some of the high points of the canvas with Viva Décor Inka Gold. Lastly, I added the title and coated it with Glossy Accents to give it a more durable finish. I hope you are all inspired to join in this really fun challenge!!!

Hi all! Boy this months inspo pic really spoke to me! I love the wings and the clock face! The colors are some of my faves too! I created a canvas. My idea behind the canvas was “Create, because time flies” and flies it sure does. Man we are almost through a half of a year already! I chose to use the Steampunk pocket watch and  Flourish Dragonflies (I clipped the wings off of one) and the word “Create” from the Inspire word set . The treatment for the clock and wings are just covering with a black coal little inker and then layers of 13 Arts Metallic paint. I did highlight areas of the clock face with a white ink pen. The word create was covered with black gesso. Easy and FUN! Hope you will join us this month and play along!! 🙂

After taking quite a long break from crafting, this month’s CE challenge was a great way for me to get my feet wet again and I had a lot of fun! 😀 The images and colors really spoke to me since it incorporated so many of my favorite elements. I was inspired by the timepiece, wings, colors, and flowers. I instantly thought of the phrase, “time flies” as many of the others were, especially since my youngest son is turning 5 this month. So, I decided to create a window hanging for his room. His fave color is also blue. 😀 For this piece, I used a Creative Embellishments Large Clock Face in the 4″ size (it is also available in 5 and 6 inch diameters) as my base and the front view butterfly from the Flourish Butterflies set 4 for the this month’s twist. I also added a resin frame and steampunk owl piece that was gifted to me by my bestie. 😀 To alter the pieces, I used both white and black gesso along with 4 different lumiere paints by Jacquard. I can’t wait to see everyone’s entries for this month’s awesome challenge! 😀

If you follow me here or on FB you may know I love dogs. We have 4 fur babies. I decided to do a then and now layout for the June challenge of my dog Kosmo. I was inspired by the clocks, colors and butterfly wings in the inspiration photo.  I wanted to stick with the circle theme I have going on throughout the layout, so I applied some with our circles stamp using broken china distress paint. I altered our large clocks in sizes 5″, 4″ and 3″ using lumiere super copper and pearl turquoise paints.  The Fur Baby title  from our puppy love set was altered using black soot paint and brown fun flock.

For this month’s challenge, I made a shadow box tag out of card stock and tape.  They are so much fun to do. For the inside, I layered masking tape, layers of paint, stamping using the distressed script and paint splat trio stamps.  I embossed using a TH texture fade folder, then covered in Prima Art Basics platinum crackle.  I used the steampunk clock for the center focal point.   I added fussy cut images from Steampunk Debutante including the butterflies for the twist. For the outside.  I used masking tape, gesso, modeling paste, embossing powders and texture sand to get varying textures to highlight the awesome chippies I used:  steampunk clock hands, loose parts, propellers, steampunk frame, gear set 2 large, gear set 2 medium, and gear set 2 small.
