Happy Thursday friends! One more day until the weekend starts. Oh who am I kidding we often work on the weekends here at CE. Today I am sharing the layout I created for the guest spot at CSI Colorstoriesinspiration challenge site. I though the colors in the photo of my daughter in New York City were perfect for case file 160.
First I will explain how I solved the case:
Evidence: map print (patterned papers), travel elements, frames, flowers, transparent item (the map heart is sort of transparent),metal, resin, chevron (stamped image),stamps.
Journal: I journaled about Kayla’s trip:
Tucked behind photo: It was Kaylas first trip to NYC. She took the boat ride to Ellis Island to get a tour of the Statue of Liberty. She had a blast.
I stamped the distressed chevron image using gesso, the crackle image using faber castell in blue color and our distressed script using black ink stamp.
The globe was altered starting with a dark green faber castell big pitt pen. I then applied some turquoise lumiere paint to the longitude and latitude lines of the chippie. For the land pieces I TH mowed lawn , forest moss distress paints and dark green lumiere paint. Lastly I added a little black ink over to darken the green.
The out of this world frame was altered starting with a dark turqouise blue big pitt pen. I then dabbed a little turquoise lumiere and TH white picket fence paint.
I altered the distressed heart with gesso as the base and turquoise lumiere paint.
The title pieces love, this, and moment were all primed using black soot distress paint and then I dabbed with TH forest moss. Flourish 23 was altered with a little gesso.
Thanks for taking the time to hop over here and check out my page. Stop by daily to see what everyone creates for the CSI case files.
