Hello friends! It’s Lee-Anne here and today I wanted to share a layout of this cute little calf that my friend Michelle, who owns a cattle ranch, had to rescue on her land when it was stuck in the snow.
I used lots of chipboard on this layout such as the Barbed Wire Border, Rustic Shed Door, Social Hash Tag word #cute and the Chicken Wire Panel. For these pieces, I first painted them with some white gesso and let them dry and then dabbed them with some Tim Holtz Distress Stain in the color Gathered Twigs and when that was dry, I went over them with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in the color Gathered Twigs as well. The photo makes them look like they are raw chipboard, but I assure you they look better in person.
Behind the photo on the background paper, I painted the paper with white gesso to mute the color of the paper and then stamped with the Distressed Chicken Wire Stamp to give it more texture.
I kept the layout fairly simple with lots of texture because I wanted to make the photo the focal point.
All of the chipboard pieces and the stamp are available in the store. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
