Happy Thursday friends! Nicolle here sharing a fun project with you today. When I saw Heidi Swapp’s Marquee letters I absolutely fell in love. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them. I took a sort of shabby chic approach with them. It’s one style I am trying to better myself with.

I started with a base coat of spun sugar distress paint and worked some picked raspberry and antique linen distress paints across the sides of the letters.

I stamped the crackle image all over using black ink. I altered flourish 15 with a base coat of vintage photo distress  paint and the leaves with mowed lawn distress paint. I then dabbed some antique linen distress paint on to the flourishes. I cut apart the flourishes and attached them all around the sides of the letter except the bottoms.

Lastly I splattered broken china distress paint around the letters.

To further embellish I added corner set 5 to bottom and top corners of the letters . I simply dabbed white picket fence distress paint to each corner piece.

I attached little mulberry roses around the letters and 3 larger white flowers over each corner. Lastly I added metal butterflies. I altered them in thoughts of spring coming soon.. well one can wish….and of course pink being my favorite color.

A bit later today I will try to get a few daytime shots. They look so much better in real life.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.
