Happy Hump Day Friends! Nicolle here sharing a layout! I created a layout around my son Bret’s first set of pictures from his photo shoot in Toronto earlier this  month. Being his first shoot they don’t look half bad. I am hoping these help him with his dream of becoming a model/actor.  I am more of a realist and told him he needs a back up plan and realizes that career is a tough one. Being a bit biased I think he is handsome…:) IMG_7533

I started with stamping a plain plaid stamp image and film strip 1 using black soot distress stain onto the background of this layout.

Film Strip Stamp 1  Plaid Stamp Set 2

It was the first time I used our jean pocket chipboard piece and felt it was perfect for this layout and goes well with the pictures. I lightly applied distress paints in the colors of antique linen, broken china, sapphire and a bit of distressed black soot in around the edges of the pocket. I altered the He’s So Fine title exactly the same. For the camera I applied white gesso and made sure it went into the crevices/ details of the camera. I then applied maya gold in grey and a bit of brushed pewter to the top to finish off. The smaller film strips I heat embossed using Lindys stamp gang embossing powder in midnight pewter. The larger film strip I applied gesso, faded jeans distress stain and then applied rock candy crackle medium. Lastly I added a bit of black soot stain to bring out the crackle effect. The wood veneer mustache, geek/chic glasses and stars I altered using faber castell big pitt artist pen in black.

The film strip frame was simply altered with maya gold in grey color. I also added a piece of flair from the Father’s day set. The mustache button. 🙂
