Happy Hump Day Friends!! Nicolle here sharing a layout today. Last weekend my son Bret went to Toronto for his first photo shoot. He is putting together a portfolio for modeling. He has already taken some modeling classes. Bret is also an intern at a local theater. He is interested in acting as well. Knowing that the modeling/acting industry is tough he is also planning on going to college but is currently undecided.
I started with stamping various images on the background paper. I stamped the distressed star image from our trio shape stamps. I also applied black soot distress stain to the film strip stamp 1 and 2 paint splats from the trio. Lastly I stamped the distressed chevron to the top right and bottom left corners using brushed pewter distress stain. I applied brushed pewter to the engraved parts of the camera just enough to fill in the details. I then applied some black coal chalk edger. I did the same with the camera stand.
For the film strip frames I applied gesso for a base coat and then simply stamped the distressed crackle image with black soot stain. For the title piece smile for the camera I first applied brushed pewter and then went over the bottom of the pieces using black coal prima chalk edger. The view master sliders are altered with gesso and a little black coal chalk edger. I applied maya gold in grey to the wavy film strips.
For the wood veneer stars I applied brushed pewter and then added a little black coal chalk edger to the edges. The wood veneer movie real was altered with brushed pewter on the reel and maya gold in grey to the film strip to keep the color scheme.
