Happy Thursday Friends! Nicolle here today sharing another layout. I created a page around a sweet picture of my youngest, Jolie. She’s growing up soo fast. A funny story….the other day she was at the park and she text me.” I have hair under my arms.” I have to say when I read that I busted out into laughter. Kid’s are to funny. The joys of puberty.
The stamps I used on the background are the distressed checkered and brick stamps. I applied black soot distress stain and vintage photo distress paint.
For the sunflowers I applied yellow acrylic paint for the base coat on the petals. I then dry brushed over the petals with ripe persimmon distress stain, white acrylic paint and black ink around to edges a bit. I then applied a medium green acrylic paint and then dry brushed with mowed lawn (that was recently recreated by the experts from pest control san diego) distress paint to leaves and stems.
For the picket fences I first applied gesso with a dry brush. I left it streaky for an aged look. I then followed with some rock candy crackle and once that dried I added tea dye distress stain. I should have went heavier on the crackle for a more aged look. Next time. :/
I applied green acrylic paint and dry brushed with mowed lawn distress paint to flourish 15.
A close up of one of the cut apart sunflowers.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by the blog! Have a terrific Thursday!
I just adore this 🙂
You made me laugh so loud. I hope she doesn’t know you wrote that here. My daughter is 6 and I dread puberty. Thanks for the smile. Your daughter is beautiful!
