Have you ever wanted to sit down to scrapbook and have a photo in mind you know you want to work with? Have some products you want to work with and an idea how you imagine the completed project will look?
Good Morning Everyone, Karan here to host the blog for you today and i have a mixed media layout to share with you.
Well, that was how this project started. I knew i wanted to scrap photo of our granddaughter. I knew i wanted to use some fluid acrylics and i knew, it was going to be with Creative Embellishments chipboard.
SO i sat down and started gessoing everything, background, chipboard pieces, corrugated cardboard. set aside to dry then i started cutting my paper layers, adhered, gessoed those, and onto my background and gessoed more. Added some fluid acrylics, lots of water, and here we are:
The photo is of our grandaughter, who has begun to get a little camera shy, i do however manage to snag some pics now and then and this was one of them on a recent visit to the park.
A friend messaged me on facebook and asked, “if i actually put my pages into albums” well, of course i do. My albums are justt a bit more bulkier then others and not all my pages are bulky (*wink*) chipboard adds such unique layers to any project and I tend to use the larger Creative Embellishments pieces as i would a paper layer.
of course gesso, white embossing powder, gold embossing powder always adds some added texture
texture paste on the background with more fluid acrylic, and some CE background stamps complete the details. Dont be afraid to add some bulk to your pages, the page protectors will hold your precious memories perfectly with, or without the bulk 😀
Until Next Time, Happy Scrapping:
