Happy Friday!! Where did the week go? I am a special deputy at CSI Color Stories Inspiration challenge site. I love their challenges. I was inspired by Case File #126 or this layout. My Aunt took Jolie to Darien Lake on Saturday and Sunday . This girl has been asking us for years to go. We have either been to busy or didn’t have enough cashola to go. Sometimes it stinks being the youngest of 4 children. I am hoping she doesn’t feel resentment when she gets older. The cool thing is that my aunt bought her a season pass which includes free parking. She can go to the park everyday this summer if she wanted and of course with proper supervision. My daughter Kayla and son Bret both got seasons passes as well so I know they won’t mind taking her and it tickles me to see them spend time together. Jolie is 6 years younger then Kay and 8 years younger then Bret.
I first stamped the distressed grid image to the background paper using stazon jet black ink. I altered the roller coaster border chippie using maya gold in grey and steel blue inka gold metallic rub for the seats and passengers. I altered the steampunk gear corner and gears applying gesso for a case coat and then spraying Lindy’s stamp gang mists but didnt completely cover. I wanted to achieve a distressed look. I lightly applied tim holtz white picket fence distress paint to the wood leaves and broken china to the wood hearts. The sun and heart glasses wood veneers,I applied yellow prima chalk ink edger for color and then added a sticker to the center that says smile. Jolie sure was happy both days and had a blast.
Thanks for stopping by the blog! Have a creative weekend.
