Happy Monday CE Friends! What did you think of our June challenge DT reveal?? I hope you have time to play along with us this month.
Nicolle here sharing a layout I created. Doesm’t it feel like a bit of Deja Vu? Haa well it is. I guess my daughter Kayla felt a bit left out since Ryan’s accident in February (that happened all of a sudden when he was on the way to home after meeting personnel for tags and insurance of the vehicle). Haa I am trying to make light of a not so great situation. First and foremost I am glad no one was hurt. May 24th Kayla got into a fender bender. She actually only bumped a person in front of her. She was at a stop light and the light turned green, in the mean time she looked down a sec to change the channel of the radio and thought traffic had started moving and tapped the gas pedal. As she looked up and realized that the traffic wasn’t moving as fast as she thought it was when it was a bit too late. Luckily she didn’t accelerate much and just bumped the van in front of her. The insurance estimate guy came out and took a look at our vehicle and we think we can repair ourselves. We probably won’t hear anything until later in the week. Hoping it doesn’t hurt her pocket book too much..:(
I started with our distressed crackle stamp and stamped with gesso. I was inspired to use that stamp because there are small cracks in the plastic part of the bumper. The gears were altered using Tim holtz distress paint in picked raspberry, distress stain in pewter, Maya gold in Grey and then added some spray Krylon webbing on the grey ones with silver web. The bicycle chain frames round and rectangular in maya gold in grey. The film strip frame I altered with the Maya gold in grey and dabbed tim holtz distressed paint in white picket fence and picked raspberry. The wood veneer arrows I dabbed picked raspberry paint.
Close ups of the crackle stamp, altered gears and frame pieces.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by! Have a creative day!
Amazing!!!
Love the layout and the gears 🙂
