Hi Happy Friday CE Friends!! Did you see the new product we added to the store. If not hop on over and check it out!!! Nicolle here sharing a layout I created based around a picture my uncle sent me recently of him and my dad. He knows my sis and I don’t have a lot of photos of our father. The picture was a picture of him holding his accordion at the age of 12. I am guessing this picture was taken in the 1960’s. I actually got to see the accordion when we were helping my dad clean his attic when I was a teen. I asked him to play but it was broken. He just threw it away. I am a lover of music and I can see where I get it from. The only genre’s I don’t care for are Country and some rap.
I started by stamping the background with the grunge music note sheet stamp with dark blue stazon ink. For the moroccan panel pieces I simply applied prima’s chalk edger ink in the color cold ice. I applied gesso to the Flourish page corner. I also a few wood items to my page. The wood music notes were altered with maya gold in the color grey and the stars I simply added color with a Faber Castell blue big pitt artist pen. One of my fave chippies is the music note border. I applied gesso for the base coat.I then applied some chalk ink in the color blue jay onto the whole piece. In some areas I went over with maya gold in grey and finished with with a little Tim Holtz distress paint in white picket fence. I altered the page corner at the bottom right side of the page the same as the border. I stamped a grunge star on the right side of the photo using the blue jay chalk edger.
I spy a piece of flair.
