Happy Hump Day folks! Nicolle here today sharing a layout. For Mother’s Day we had a barbecue at my house. Mike was the chef for the day. He made us smoked baby back ribs and beer butt chicken marinated in Chiavettia’s. It was a nice day with family, food and good weather. We managed to get some pictures in as well. Below are a couple of my mum and I.
I stamped the background with our distressed grid stamp applying black soot distress stain first. I cut apart the leafy heart frame and applied prima chalk edger ink in a green color. I then attached across the top of the page. I framed the photos with our film strip frames. I altered them simply swiping stazon ink in the jet black color. I wanted to achieve a distressed look so I didn’t cover the frames completely.
I altered the triangle chipboard pieces coloring them in with a black faber castell big pitt pen. I then used them as pennants in the banner designed layout adding patterened paper behind them.
I altered the tiger lily chipboard piece using prima chalk edgers in orange, yellow and white, permanent markers in black and red and acrylic paint in yellow. I altered the flourish simply applying chalk ink edger in green.
