Happy Tuesday CE Friends! I hope everyone’s holiday was a good one. We enjoyed ours with food and family. My paternal grandfather was a veteran of World War II, maternal grandfather served in the Korean war and my dad the Vietnam War. I scrapped a photo of my dad in the Vietnam war.
I started with stamping a few images to the background center paper with the distressed grid, grunge stars and the heart from our trip shapes. I applied tim holtz stains to the stamps in the colors of mahogany and faded jeans.
I altered the stars frame first spraying some goosebumps texture spray. I then swiped faded jeans distress said and dabbed off the excess for a distressed look. Flourish 22 I simply wiped Tim Holtz distressed paint in picket fence not completely covering. I wanted a distressed look.
I applied aged mahogany for the stripes on the flag and again dabbed the excess off. I was going for an aged look.
Thanks for stopping by our blog.
