TGIF! We are currently moving the stores and blog to a new server. If you are one of the lucky ones to be able to view this then cool. I was told that some parts of the country will propagate (see the changes quicker )and some won’t. Dislike being at the mercy of techy stuff. Nicolle here sharing a layout I created of my daughter Jolie and her electric guitar. She inherited it from Grandpa G after he passed away. JoJo can rock on it too. She catches on to music easily. It’s refreshing one of my children actually like rock music.
I started by stamping a couple images on the background. I applied blak soot distress stain to both the mesmerizing music notes and grunge music note stamps. I applied the sheet music stamp image to the top left and the other to the bottom right. I altered the steampunk guitar applying a metallic blue acrylic for the base coat. I then applied a bit of modeling paste here and there for texture. For additional color I dabbed lindys stamp gang Tibetan Poppy Teal color over the texture. To finish I added dusty attic’s rusting powder. I also altered a bunch of different sized gears the same as the guitar. To further alter I added a metal flower and a Wild orchid paper flower to the center.
I altered the wavy music note border applying Maya gold in grey. I also applied the maya gold to the steampunk gear music notes (will be added to the store soon). For the flourish photo/ page corners I simple applied some red acrylic paint. I altered the rings for many things chipboard with gesso.
I love that face!! She’s soooo cool!!
