Happy Monday Friends! Nicolle here sharing a layout I created. First I want to thank everyone for being so very patient and understanding when we were switched servers. so far its been smooth sailing. We have learned a lot of techy stuff this weekend.  If anyone is still having trouble you may have to clear your cookies/cache in the browser you are using. I know chrome can a be cranky at times and I had to actually clear my cache to be able to see the store and blog. Chrome remembers things sometimes as they once were instead of how they may currently be. It can be a pain. Live and learn here daily. Okay enough of the boring stuff.

The layout below is a picture of my sis and I. Mike caught this pic of us at Tara’s birthday party. The title is All We Have is Each Other.  My dad passed away two years ago but some of the things he said are stuck in my head. One may wonder why I say such a thing since my momma is still here. Although I love her with all  my heart and it isn’t always easy as  she can be a very difficult person (she suffers from mental illness) we can not rely on her. We make do. My kids get a kick out of her . She can be very comical.

I stamped a few images using both the distressed crackle and circles stamps. I applied black soot stain to the distressed crackle and gesso to the circles stamp before stamping to images on the paper.

For the base coat on the out of this world frame  I applied Maya Gold in grey. I then added texture paste in spots not covering the whole frame. For added interest I dabbed some Lindy’s Stamp Gang in Tibetan Poppy Teal.  I simply applied the maya gold in grey on the cut apart circles panel.  I altered flourish set 8 first applying a base coat of gesso. I then dabbed some Tim Holtz  Sail Boat Blue acrylic paint and finished with a spray of black webbing made by Krylon. Frond set 6 I altered adding a base coat of gesso and then dabbing some Tim Holtz distress paint on top. I added a bit of black ink to the edges of the frond.

The butterfly was altered the same way as the flourish set.
