Today is also Feature Fan Friday. Please share your work with us over at our Faceebook Page and you will have a chance to be featured. All you have to do is use at least one of our products and share your work on our wall.
First up is a pretty page from Diana Poirier. I love how much the circle panel pops even though it was left in its natural state. It goes so well with the soft colors of the layout.
Our second layout was created by Giorgia Rossini. How super fun and colorful this layout is. I love the added touches of bling there were added to the chevron borderpieces. The two-tone on the ornate frame is too cool.
Thanks ladies for sharing your work with us. I love seeing how everyone uses our products. For being featured you get a 10% coupon code to use at our store. The code CAN be combined with any promotion and doesn’t expire until the last day of 2014.
Now onto my layout….I created a layout around a cute picture of my daughter and her boyfriend Mike. Oh teenage love. This is her first “real” boyfriend.
I started with the background stamping the distressed heart image with embossing pad. I added red embossing powder and heat set. I altered the hearts panel applying fired brick distress stain. I further embellished applying crackle medium and adding then adding black soot stain to expose some crackle. It didn’t quit work out the way I had liked. I had to rush the process heating the crackle medium. It’s hard to actually see the crackle in the photo. I altered the butterfly applying white picket fence distress pain on the top and broken china on the bottom. I then added blue stickles to the bottom half of the butterfly. For the flourish I heat embossed with some dark green embossing powder. Then applied a little green distress paint here and there. The showered with love pieces were simply altered with black soot distress stain. I altered the wooden heart with a little red distress paint. Lastly for the crazy for you title I applied broken china distress paint and then blue stickles.
A close up of the flourish and wooden heart.
