Happy Monday! Nicolle here today. My children have off today for Veteran’s Day. We will be remembering both of my Grandfather’s and Dad who all served in the Army in WWII, Korean and Vietnam Wars. They all have since passed but they are all truly my Heroes. It seems every day since my dad’s passing has been difficult in one way or another. People say it gets easier but for me I think it actually gets harder and just hurts more.
I am sharing a layout that I created with a picture of my second oldest son Bret and youngest my daughter Jolie. This picture was taken on Bret’s Birthday. I just thought it was so cute. They are 8 years apart but Bret is so sweet to Jolie and is an amazing big brother.
I used a word chipboard piece that I left natural. I use the rope chipboard frame and altered slightly with Tim Holtz distress paint. I just swiped lightly over for an uneven texture look. I also used a few wood hearts. I colored in with a dark pink Faber Castell Artist pen and added a bit of stickles.
A bit of a close up of the stickles on the heart woodsie.
Thanks for stopping by the blog. I hope you have a wonderful Veteran’s Day and Monday.
