Happy Days Layout

Happy Friday Folks!! It’s Black Friday in the retail world. I am an old fashioned kind of girl and have my own opinions about it. I just don’t see the big deal. It saddens me when people are killed or injured over a simple sale. For the best price….just dislike all the hype. Materialism urgh….I guess it’s kind of funny because I am in retail but no matter what material things will never replace the importance of a life. That being said. I don’t want to be a bummer because I do enjoying shopping and a good sale. I mostly grab deals on the internet.

Today I am sharing a layout I created inspired by some fun times at a party we had. These pictures were taken at our Memorial Day barbecue. We all enjoy music and some of us love to dance as well. It doesn’t matter how good or bad we are at it. Just as long as we are all having a good time. I just love the quote.. “dance like no one’s watching”. Kayla my daughter was actually in dance for 10years. She took Tap, Jass Hip Hop, Break Dancin, Agro, Lyrical, Ballet and contemporary. She was in the company class and was in many successful competitions.

I altered many different chipboard pieces on this layout. The Happy Days title I added blue glitter. The music border I first applied color Faber Castell Big Brush Pen in pink and then Tim Holtz Distress paint for a distressed look. Music notes wood pieces I used a permanent black marker and then highlighted with a white gel pen. The other chipboard pieces I just applied Tim Holtz distress paints. The heart wood piece I colored in with Faber Castell big brush pen.
