Happy Friday Friends! What a crazy stressful and sad week this has been. I am glad it’s Friday and counting on the down time. I need to just chill.

Today I am sharing a layout I created of my daughter Jolie. Some things have been going on with her at school and felt like if I scrapped about her it would help. I wish people knew her as much as I do and that I could afford to pull her from the school system she is in and teach her myself. Sometimes I think the teachers and adults in charge are just as bad as the bullies. Even act like them. I don’t want to bore you with the details. I just can’t deal with the way things are handled there. The no tolerance prison like regime. The guilty first and you have to prove your innocence crap. The thing that gets me is there is reasonable doubt.  Sorry! The situation has me rattled and what should be over with seems to being dragged along. I am not one to think my kids are perfect and do not make mistakes. Unfortunately my mom instincts of protection kick in when I feel she is being wronged and things are only going to hurt her in the end. I thought it would be a sort of therapy to scrap about her. I love her and will always protect her.

I took this photo the morning of her actual birthday before she went off to school. She is 11 now and just such a sweet, wear your heart on your sleeve, super sensitive little girl.

I used a bunch of different chipboard frames found in our store. I altered them using Tim Holtz distress paint and acrylic paint. I altered the chipboard butterfly and film strim piece using Faber Castell big brush artist pens. I also added a butterfly wood piece to the top of the layout. I altered using Distress paint. I often look to sketches to be inspired by and found one at scrap and music site.
